US
Open of Surfing is one of the top attended events in
Huntington Beach. It includes not just surfing, but
a variety of extreme outdoor sports in arenas at the
beach. Vendor booths, free giveaways, fashion, food,
fun, and live musical acts make this the ultimate
sand event.

The surfing event itself is but one portion of the
US Open. The surfing conditions have been so-so for
years, and the 6 star qualifier rating has been
arguable too high for these conditions. But because
of the quantity of people who attend, there's
justification for making it a 6 star qualifier,
versus a lower number it would normally receive due
to the waves that generally range from 2 to 4 feet.
With a little luck, maybe one year things will be
awesome!
