Huntington Beach,
CA--An entire afternoon and evening of live jazz
with top recording artists takes place each
September in
Central Park behind the Central Park
Library. With prices that range from $45 -185, you
can either sit in general lawn seating on the sloped
hill near the concerts (bring your own chair) or pay
more to be admitted into a more expensive section
with several options ranging from chair seating to
table seating with BBQ buffet dinner.
Held as a
fundraiser for special causes, primarily
Autism, the event is one of several jazz
concerts held in Huntington Beach annually.
This is the biggest--and best! The Central
Park location is unbelievably beautiful with
the towering shade eucalyptus trees
providing a cooling effect, though the
location is no more than 3 miles from the
Pacific Ocean, and thus is generally quite
comfortable. Bring sunhats or shade items
however, as the number of hours the concert
continues may find you getting a bit more
sun that you prefer.
Concessions
at the event sell food and beverages for
your enjoyment and there are ample restroom
facilities for the event. This event provides usually 5
to 10 musical acts, all selected for their
popular appeal and quality stage
performances. Past acts have include Al Jarreau, Mindi Abair, Warren Hill, Jonathan
Butler and many more!
