Huntington Beach, Calif.--When visiting or living in
Huntington Beach there are many things to do beyond
the beach, itself. Some of the events occur at the
Newland House Barn, located at Beach & Adams in the
Newland Center where you will find the historic
Newland House.
While the Newland House is an historic museum
that does not provide events & meeting space due to
the value of the place, you can rent space at the
barn on the property. It is shaped like a barn but
actually is a modern room with kitchen providing
electricity restroom facilities, and a hilltop
vantage point overlooking Huntington, Costa
Mesa and Fountain Valley.
A popular annual event hosted by Huntington Beach
Parks and Recreation is a women & daughter tea.
Little girls can put on their pretty hats and come
with their moms, aunts, grandmothers or others to
sip tea, eat finger sandwiches and enjoy an event
with a long tradition that's a bit old-fashioned.
The event is usually held in the spring each year.
Information is posted on the city website when the
event is planned.
