The Annual Senior Saturday Event took Place At Huntington Beach Pier Plaza. This Event Helps The Huntington Beach Council On Aging Program. It Was Chaired Through The COA President Cathy Meschuk And The Co-Chair Was Bob Dettloff. There Were 75 Vendors On Hand Giving Information To The Seniors From Health Groups To Banks To Reverse Mortgages To Real Estate To The CERT Program To The Huntington Beach City Clerk's Office Which Provides Voter Registration Information And Passports To The Residents For An Affordable Price. Several Thousand People Came To This Popular Event. Representing The Huntington Beach City Council Were Mayor Pro Tem Keith Bohr, Council Members: Cathy Green, Joe Carchio And Don Hansen. The City Clerk Joan Flynn Was Also At The Event And So Were Several Former Huntington Beach Mayors Including Dave Sullivan, Peter Green, Cathy Green, Shirley Dettloff And Norma Brandel Gibbs. Representing The Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum Were Community Ambassador Chris MacDonald And Membership Director Randy Lyford.
