According to the Huntington Beach Downtown
Business Improvement District (HBDBID),
events at Surf City Days include
paddleboarding, surfing and
volleyball. Surf City
Days to include music, vendors and Green
Expo on Saturday, which as been planned and
co-sponsored by the City of Huntington
Beach.
Brett Barnes of Dukes Huntington Beach, recommended a
Board Fest concept. A previous Boardfest (boardfest.com)
has been on hiatus for several years but was
previously held in September and included
board components as its focus.
Meeting with the City of Huntington Beach
Community Services Department to discuss the
Surf City Days event held at the same time
the Community Surfing Contest is taking
place, they agreed that the two events
compliment each other and make for the perfect match.
This event will include paddle board race,
lifeguard challenge and possibly a celebrity
surf event. On Main Street there will be
featured vendors with all types of board;,
surf, paddle, skate, snow, etc. Also there
may be a vintage surfboard auction and surf
art.
Each year in Huntington Beach there are new
events from the
Downtown HB,
plus more sun, more sand and more fun. We've
been out there pounding the pavement with
our own 2 feet to bring you the best of
Huntington Beach in this new
Picture Events Calendar. With tons of
photos of Huntington Beach to knock you off

Beach hours: Huntington City Beach: 5 a.m. to 10
p.m., State Beaches: 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., Huntington
Beach Pier: 5 a.m. to Midnight.
