The National Professional
Paintball League is hosting a division of
competition featuring National Collegiate Paintball
Association college teams at paintball's premiere
tournament, the NPPL Huntington Beach Open on Sunday,
March 20.
Top college teams from across the country will travel
to Huntington Beach, California to compete in the 5-man
competition, which will count towards NCPA season
standings. Schools expected to have teams in attendance
include NCAA Football's #1 team USC, NCAA Basketball's
#1 and Paintball's #1 tean Illinois, Arizona State
University, Utah State University, and others.
All college competition will be on Sunday. The final
match will be played on the same NPPL showcase field as
top international Professional teams like Dynasty,
Arsenal, Infamous, Sweeden's Joy Division and France's
Ton Tons, in front of grandstands seating thousands of
spectators. "All of our teams had a blast at Huntington
Beach last year, and it's great to be back," said NCPA
President Chris Raehl. "You can't beat the location, the
competition, the attention, or the fun."
The entry fee is $500 per 5-man team. While there are
still a few spots left, the tournament is limited to 16
teams, so schools who are interested in competing should
register as soon as possible. All players on a team must
be full-time graduate or undergraduate students at the
same college or university. For more information on
