Huntington Beach, CA--Meadowlark Golf Club is one
of the most successful, busy public golf courses in Southern
California. Its pricing structure is quite affordable, the
course is pleasant and enjoyable, and the weather beyond
compare in a beach city where breezes often blow gently
through the course, providing a temperature that is just
right for golfers.
Some competition golfers have gotten their start at this
course, often coming out as children as young as five years
old, practicing and playing day after day. What a great
place to launch careers!
In the photograph you can see the club house which
features dining and meeting facilities ideal for special
events, and there's a dining room serving meals and snacks
for golfers. To the right of the club house is a driving
range that's extremely popular. High netting and fences keep
errant golf balls from flying over the wall onto Graham
Street that runs adjacent to the course.
And for those who prefer watching butterflies fly rather
than balls, head across the street to Norma Gibbs Butterfly
Park for a shady picnic, an easy stroll, and maybe watch
some graceful wildlife such as butterflies. If you don't see
the insects in flight, read up about them in the display
boards.
