Summer time in Huntington Beach, California invites you
to bring out your best swimsuit and tan, and show them off in the sunny,
sandy fun beach where good times never go out of style, and the beach
always beckons. Shown above are girls giving out samples of a product
during a special event free to the public, the US Open of Surfing and
Beach Games.
During the US Open you'll see more freebies than any
other time throughout the year. Companies seeking to expand their fan
base often will roll out their latest soft drinks, tan lotions or other
items at special events where attendance is high and the demographic is
young, trendy, money-spenders who will buy the latest must-have items.
Temperatures at Huntington Beach on the hottest days can
hit 99 degrees but you'll normally find the summer air temp ranging
between 74 and 78 degrees. While it is generally comfortable in the
sand, travelers are advised to do what the locals are taught--dress in
layers, or bring layers of clothing. The day usually starts off cool,
gets warm till the ocean breeze kicks in around 3 p.m., then cools off
for the night once again.
