Pier Plaza is a gathering spot near the beach where you can sit on stone amphitheater seats and either watch the beach and waves, or watch the occasional concerts and people-entertainment provided by beach-goers. This is where drum circles gather and perform, where homeless just passing through hang out, where families with toddlers dawdle around to kill some time, and where people go just to soak up the perfect beach daylight, or sunset.
