Nothing is more
magical than lights that dance and reflect on the water in
patterns and colors. One special season transforms Huntington
Harbour waterways into a light parade of sights and sounds as
the Cruise of Lights begins. This approx. 2 week boat cruise in
which nightly tickets are sold for the public to hop aboard and
take a ride affords views of the festive houses especially lit
for this event. The fundraiser helps raise money for music
programs for school children.
Huntington Harbour in
Huntington Beach, California is a manmade complex of five HB and
one Sunset Beach island that have been home to the rich, famous,
and regular folks. Many houses and mansions have boat docks so
you'd be on target if you guessed that there's a channel to the
Pacific Ocean nearby.
Boat parades, light shows
and holiday festivities are enjoyed throughout California in
places ranging from San Diego (south of Huntington Beach) to
Marina del Rey (north), Ventura, Oxnard, Sausalito and even The
Delta near Sacramento. In addition to the Huntington Harbour
Cruise of Lights, guests may enjoy Newport Beach Holiday Boat
Parade, Dana Point boat rides, Naples Boat Parade and a
fireworks show at Marina del Rey. |
