Le Bard Park off Brookhurst at Indianapolis behind
the Huntington Beach City School District offices is a 5
acre park adjacent to the Santa Ana River Bikeway trail.
The park is operated through the City of Huntington
Beach and includes two tennis courts, playground
equipment and immaculate softball fields rented for
little league play. Le Bard Park is the main field used
for SeaView Little League games. Practices are held at
various fields, depending on field allocations and
coaches' schedules. There's a small clubhouse that's
used for league signups.
Le Bard Park enjoys sits at the bottom of a hill or
levee near the Santa Ana River, one of Southern
California's longest rivers, stretching nearly 100 miles
from the San Bernardino mountains to the ocean just a
short distance from Le Bard Park. As shown in the
photo above (right), the river sometimes has very little
water by the time it reaches the Pacific Ocean on the
border of Huntington Beach and Newport Beach.
The pedestrian and bicycle bridge that spans the
river at Le Bard Park connects to several beautiful
parks in Costa Mesa, Talbert Regional Park, Vista Park
and Fairview Park. For hiking and exploring, a trip to
Le Bard and walk across the bridge into Costa Mesa is a
real treat. Brookhurst, Hamilton, Magnolia and Adams are
the major streets near Le Bard Park.
