Island is a beautiful shopping mall with boutiques and upscale
fashion shops, Atrium Court, Farmer's Market, restaurants and entertainment.
Summers bring free concerts to Fashion Island. Enjoy the cool ocean breeze and
some beautiful music, then dine at one of the mall's many restaurants.
Fashion Island has been a fixture of the
south Orange County scene for several decades. It used to be a nice little
outdoor mall with several anchor stores and an outdoor escalator offering
a sweeping view of the Pacific Ocean. Today, this metropolitan indoor/outdoor
shopping plaza with promenades, kiosks, an indoor Farmer's Market and dozens
of restaurants is both a shopping center and an entertainment venue. We

Surrounded by the popular Four Seasons,
Newport Marriott and Hyatt Newporter hotel resorts, Newport Beach Museum
of Art, Hard Rock Cafe, Edwards Cinema and the beach looming ever present
in the distance, a visit to Fashion Island is an enjoyable experience and
makes for a day of fun.
Events such as a free summer concert series,
Concours d'Elegance classic car show and Run for the Cure fund raiser are
a few of the special events held at the center.
Atrium Court (seen in photo above) features
a first floor food court and Farmer's Market with unique gourmet items,
flowers, pastries, breads, salads and a fresh fish and meat counter.
Dozens of food kiosks and restaurants sell
gourmet pizza, sandwiches, soups, salads and gourmet coffees and teas.
Popular with the luncheon crowd from high rise office buildings nearby,
a pianist comes around lunch time and plays classical music, pop and show
tunes, to name a few.
A large fountain in the center of the
dining court is surrounded by tables and chairs where you carry your meal
on a tray to the table of your choice.
Also available at the Atrium is a Concierge
located at a second floor kiosk. Magazines, local specials and attractions
brochures are distributed, along with personal assistance from helpful
staff.
Fashion Island’s Annual Summer Concert
Series
NEWPORT BEACH SUMMER CONCERT SERIES every
Wednesday evening beginning at 7 p.m. in Bloomingdale’s Courtyard. Whether
you’re a jazz, big band, pop, or classic rock n’ roll fan, each week of
entertainment is sure to provide enjoyable music in a beautiful outdoor
setting. Concerts are complimentary and seating is available on a first
come first serve basis. Preferred seating is available at $20.00 and may
be purchased through the Concierge at (949) 721-2000. Fashion Island’s concert series first debuted
