One of the most family oriented events of the entire year includes youth participation and civic groups in the 4th of July Parade. From Indian Guides to the launch of the parade with a scout troop carrying the flag down Main Street, the hometown parade attracts all ages, but appeals to children especially.

Get to parade: 405 Fwy, exit Beach Blvd., left on Main

Through traffic on PCH is detoured at Golden West St. and Beach Blvd. up to Garfield Ave. PCH is completely open to traffic no later than 2 PM. Residents and guests coming into the downtown off of Goldenwest St. should enter at Palm or Orange Ave. Beach parking may be accessed at Beach Blvd.

Pacific View is open for access to the Hyatt and Hilton. Twin Dolphin is closed from 6 AM until no later than 2 PM.

Following the parade, there is a children's fair in the downtown area on Main Street between PCH and Olive Ave. The first two blocks of Main Street will remain closed until after the fireworks have concluded.
