or event is complete if you're missing Mr.
Abraham Lincoln, America's famous president who
was credited with signing the emancipation
proclamation, making all people equal under the
law, thus abolishing slavery. The 4th of July Parade on
Main Street in Downtown Huntington Beach is
filled with patriotism, and includes lots of
icons honoring the formation of the U.S. in 1776
as one nation. Red, white and blue are the
favored colors during the event with marching
bands, floats, equestrian units, celebrities,
and the Abe Lincoln look-alikes.
