Improvement District is a business organization, dedicated to enhancing the
downtown business environment by providing opportunities, service, information,
and encourages businesses to work together for their collective best interest.

Steve Daniel- Opened meeting at 2:10 PM
RE: Approval of Minutes-01-22-08
- Motion to Approve by Ron, Bill 2nd,
motion, passed with the spelling corrections of Bill C. and
Steve. G. last names.
RE: Financial
Report- Steve D.

Discussion on
receiving in the future a Budget Vs. Actual Report prior
to meeting.

RE: Old Business

By-laws-
Approval of final changes- Motion to approve Ron, Bill 2nd.
Completed By-laws with changes will be submitted to the General
Membership upon completion. News
Racks- Steve D. Reported the types of racks reviewed by
committee, and the conclusion was no more that 8 in a row and
will be uniform and not a single unit.

Christmas
Decorations- Open discussion on various types of Holiday
decorations, to include a large tree. Steve D. to do the
research, on costs and partnering with the city.
February
21st BID General Membership Meeting- Connie
reminded the Board Members about the meeting & Social and
thanked Stephanie for hosting the event.

Downtown
Specific Plan Community Workshop-Connie reminded the Board
members the meeting was taking place on Feb. 20, 2008 from
6:00-9:00 pm at the Art Center. Several Board members express
the concern of not receiving any actual mailing notification.
Connie to research why. However, she did say the information
did go out via the BID Electronic Newsletter.
RE: New Business
-
Steve D. reported on the Conditional Use
permits for the Main Street Anchor stores Jacks & Huntington
Surf & Sport, and what is being required of them by the city.
Ron & Steve discussed the research to be
done on a downtown shuttle service.
Ron requested to use the BID Generators
for the Taste of Huntington Beach. Motion to approve Bob, Steve
D. 2nd
