This March 2008 was the big Easter Egg Hunt in Central Park. While some reports stated 5000 people attended, the real count was more like 1000 tops. And it was crowded! (Do a parking space count to realize that 5000 turnout would be close to impossible).  OK, so they do give away 1,000 pounds of candy, or something to that effect, they said.
