Huntington Beach
Wetlands do not include many trees or brush. Aerial Photos can be obtained in several ways. The simplest
method that will cost nothing as you enjoy the ride you've
booked in and out of Orange County Airport on a commercial
flight. The flights do not always fly over Huntington
Beach and sometimes the skies are not perfectly blue, but with a
good camera, you can click away and get some useable
photographs. If you live in Huntington Beach or stay in one of
the great hotels, you'll hear the sound of jets all day long.
Huntington Beach is situated in the flight path of several
airports (Orange County and Long Beach) and experiences many
flights directly overhead throughout the day.
In fact, when you
visit the California countryside, you suddenly realize the
incredible quiet but aren't sure why. You look up to notice
there aren't so many planes as in Huntington Beach. We even
recognize the sounds of specific flights and can look in the sky
to observe the daily flights of Jet Blue and other airlines.
If you live in Huntington Beach and have a skylight, especially
in the north part of the city, you often cannot hear a telephone
conversation while a plane flies overhead. But like the
expensive property near LAX, living near the beach has its
rewards on this part of the coast and beach aerial photography
is one of them for those who fly often.
What a delight to
fly over Huntington Beach on your trip to and from John Wayne
Airport or along the coast heading south to San Diego.
There flights in and out of John Wayne - Orange County Airport
usually fly over Catalina Island, Newport Beach bay, Anaheim's
Disneyland and parts of Huntington Beach. If you ask
a pilot on a commercial flight which sites you'll be seeing, he
or she will normally tell you that the route can change
depending on the wind conditions and other factors.
When you take
aerial photographs of Huntington Beach, here are a few tips:
-Clean the windows of the craft for smudges to the best of your
ability (unless you are in a helicopter or small craft
-Keep your shutter speeds faster (we may not need to shoot at
1/500th second but for clarity, we do it)
-Cup the space around the lens with your hands to block out
window reflections and put your lens close to or touching the
window
-Keep alert of coastal landmarks such as mountains, islands,
piers and even Morro Rock to help identify your photos
