Honoring Huntington Beach's lifeguards and beach safety, September heralds the last hurrah for the summer season with Labor Day weekend celebrations at the beach.  Sometimes drawing the largest crowds and traffic of the entire year, many will return to school, and vacationers back to work. But September often is one of the finest beach months throughout California.

We met up with Huntington Beach's Marine Safety Division and spoke to actual lifeguards about the public's greatest danger, rip currents.
