Often in the spring the
flowers bloom and grass turns tall and green,
making the Huntington Beach Equestrian Center a
scenic place to ride a horse. Snows cap the
local mountains and add to the the spectacular
views afforded to those who rent or own a horse
and take a ride on Edwards Hill.
The Huntington Beach Central Park
Equestrian Center is one of the city's great
treasures. Local residents and tourists can
take horse guided tours and enjoy several annual
events with shows, competitions, food and fun.
Also available is the venues meeting and special
events space perfect for a birthday party,
social gathering or even a wedding. Located in
Huntington Central Park on the west side of
Golden West Street between Central Library
stoplight and Ellis, Huntington Central Park
Equestrian Center is a known venue in the horse
competition circuit.
Boarding, Horse Rentals,
Lessons in Western, Dressage, Hunter/Jumper and
premier Hunter/Jumper facilities Horse rentals
are available in addition to lessons and
boarding. Steinberg's Tack & Feed is located on
the property.
Huntington Beach Central Park
Equestrian Center offers hour-long guided tours
which take visitors around the park and up and
down scenic flower covered hills. Sights
include distant views of Long Beach harbor and
the Pacific Ocean. Weekdays are best for tours.
The equestrian center is a
popular location for various horse competitions,
including weekend polo games and the annual
Summer Classic fundraiser, a primary funding
source for the Huntington Beach Art Center.
Tours are for adults & children 8 years of age
and older. Lessons are also available.
