This picture was taken when Pam Houchen served as Huntington Beach Mayor several years ago. Seen in the American flag tie is former Mayor and retired professor Peter Green of Huntington Beach. Duties of these public servants include officiating many events such as military and veteran services ceremonies.

Pam Julien Houchen most recently resigned from City Council and quit her job as a Real Estate agent when an investigation into condo conversion left her front and center in the controversy about filing the proper paper work to convert the previous Huntington Beach apartments into condominiums.

Houchen once worked with her first husband (deceased) at a furniture business they owned and operated.  She sold that business and entered politics locally in Huntington Beach, California. During the time she was a Council Member, she married Brian Houchen, who owned a construction company. They became parents of triplets and lived a busy life tending to their three young children.
