Alices Breakfast in the Park
is a charming
restaurant by the lake offers indoor or outdoor dining with
breakfast and lunch served till the afternoon. 4 types of home made bread baked
daily are Whole Wheat, Swedish Rye, Cinnamon Raisin and Sour Dough.
House specialty is the Cinnamon Nut Roll.
Proprietress Alice Gustafson asks that you
sign the guest book when you visit. Take a moment to enjoy the
tribute to her husband who was once known for riding a
huge
three-wheeler bicycle up and down the pier when Gustafson's owned
the End of the Pier Cafe before a storm took it down nearly a decade
ago.
NOTE: In 2008 Alice's
Breakfast in the Park
was asked by the City of Huntington Beach to upgrade its
services, facilities and bring in more revenue, in line with other
city-leased businesses.
Few realize that this lovely
cafe is dog-friendly.
Dogs are welcome and a few food items on the menu can be
prepared specifically for your dog. In fact, the Breakfast in the
Park restaurant overlooks the Dog Park across Lake Huntington.
Such a lovely place is the restaurant and the family that owns it,
we recommend you take a visit and dine on the delicious foods while
viewing this Huntington Beach treasure, Central Park. For the kids,
the fenced area protects them from falling into the lake. Parents
can purchase duck food for around a buck and let the kids go crazy,
having fun feeding the local water fowl.
