The English Bulldog might be called lazy.
The truth of the matter is that he prefers not to exercise. If you want a
dog that's happy sitting indoors relaxing most of the day, then look no
further than this loyal and sometimes stubborn housemate who is known to
drool and snore.
Gentle and loyal to its family and fond of children, the English Bulldog
grows up to be a calm adult. The breed prefers not to exercise, can easily
overheat, and is prone to drooling and snoring. Commonly growing to a height
of 12 to 14 inches abd weight of 50 to 55 pounds, the English Bulldog
descended from ancient Mastiffs that originated in Asia and were brought to
Europe by nomads.
The English Bulldog's appearance can be
intimidating but it is among the gentlest of dogs. Very affectionate,
dependable and gentle with children, it is known for its courage and its
excellent guarding abilities. Bulldogs seek out human attention which is
required for the breed's happiness. This breed is good with family
pets, but some can be scrappy with strange dogs. When Bulldogs are young,
they are full of energy, but slow down as they get older.
