DREW PARK, HUNTINGTON BEACH CALIFORNIA PHOTOS AND INFORMATION

drew park photos
Drew Park features both sand and grass volleyball courts, a playground, swings, and picnic benches.

Drew Park
Cape Cottage Lane and Cape Newbury Drive
Huntington Beach, CA  92646

Bounded by Adams, Beach, Newland and Indianapolis streets in Huntington Beach, Drew Park is located on Cape Cottage Lane and Cape Newbury Drive, Drew Park is tucked away on quiet streets in a residential neighborhood with nice houses and a park that looks new.  Many of the trees are young and the picnic tables looks like they've just purchased and placed in this great park.

One of the few parks in Huntington Beach to feature both sand and volleyball courts, the sand court has an interesting twist. It is set in a pit along with a swing set. The kiddies probably shouldn't swing at the same time a game is in play. Fortunately, there is another set of swings in a separate sand play area so not all is lost.

The park features curbside parking and is located not far from Newland Center on Beach and Adams. It's the perfect place to bring your SuperMex burrito, your child's Burger King kid's meal and a Starbuck's coffee to relax at lunch and watch the pleasant world go by.

Huntington Beach Parks

The City of Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker and steward of the Huntington Beach public park system. Two departments involved with Huntington Beach parks are the Community Services Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining approximately 70 parks and public facilities, totaling 598 acres, 169 playground apparatus and irrigation systems.

Park Maintenance is also an integral component in special events in the City, closely working with Community Services to set up for events and activities that take place on or near park facilities. Community Services not only handles the rental of the park facilities but also operates programs for the public that include softball leagues, exercise classes, cooking, dancing and other types of interesting and fun things to do. For more information on park maintenance call (714) 536-5480.  For information on park facilities or to make a reservation call Community Services at (714) 536-5486 or the phone numbers provided on the featured parks pages.
