WARDLOW PARK HUNTINGTON BEACH CALIFORNIA PHOTOS AND INFORMATION

Wardlow Park near the Boys and Girls Club of Huntington Beach includes playgrounds adjacent to baseball fields.

Wardlow Park
9191 Pioneer Drive
Huntington Beach, CA 92646

Wardlow Park is located near a busy street where traffic breezes by all day along Magnolia between Adams and Yorktown streets. Somehow the sounds of the traffic are only noticeable when you sit at the picnic table near the busy street. Go just a few feet away and you gain that feeling of respite...the feeling of peace and relaxation that only green lawns and open spaces can provide.

Wardlow Park includes several playground stations with swings, slides and ladders to climb. There are also ball playing fields and bleacher seating for little league action. Located near the Kid Connection Branch and also the Learning Center Preschool of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Huntington Valley, the park provides a fun place to take the children or sit and relax with your drive-thru meal you may have purchased nearby at fast food restaurants down the street such as Taco Bell/ Pizza Hut or Lucci's Deli on Adams.

Huntington Beach Parks

The City of Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker and steward of the Huntington Beach public park system. Two departments involved with Huntington Beach parks are the Community Services Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining approximately 67 parks and public facilities, totaling 598 acres, 169 playground apparatus and irrigation systems.

Park Maintenance is also an integral component in special events in the City, closely working with Community Services to set up for events and activities that take place on or near park facilities. Community Services not only handles the rental of the park facilities but also operates programs for the public that include softball leagues, exercise classes, cooking, dancing and other types of interesting and fun things to do. For more information on park maintenance call (714) 536-5480.  For information on park facilities or to make a reservation call Community Services at (714) 536-5486 or the phone numbers provided on the featured parks pages.
