Huntington Beach AVP Pro Beach Volleyball News This summer is looking like another hot year for the dynamic duo female volleyball team of Misty May and Kerri Walsh. They've raked in the highest sum of money so far in the pro beach volleyball circuit with $168,000 in winnings. Huntington Beach enjoys the arrival of these fantastic players along with the world class competitors such Karch Kiraly, Jake Gibb, Stein Metzger, Dax Holdren, Jeff Nygaard, Holly McPeak, Elaine Youngs and many more. Held on Huntington Beach City Beach August 11 through 14 on the south side of the Huntington Beach Pier, the Association of Volleball Professionals (AVP) Pro Beach Volleyball Tour travels the USA to packed audiences in cities around America.
More than 150 of the top professional beach volleyball athletes including 2004 Olympic gold medal winners Misty May and Kerri Walsh, 2004 Olympic bronze medal winners Holly McPeak and Elaine Youngs, and rising AVP star Rachel Wacholder. On the men's side, three-time Olympic gold medal winner Karch Kiraly, rising star Mike Lambert, and 2000 Olympic gold medalists Eric Fonoimoana and Dain Blanton.
