an 11
acre
park
operated
by the
City of
Huntington
Beach,
California
Community

Department.
It
includes
two
sections
separated
by
McFadden
Avenue.
One side
features
a
manmade
lake
where
ducks
glide
along in
dark
blue
water
and kids
and
adults
sometimes
fish in
the lake
that is
occasionally
stocked,
we were
told by
locals.
The
shape of
the lake
is
typical
of a
golf
course
lake
design.
This
side of
Greer
Park
features
the
lake, a
huge,
green
field
where
people
love to
walk
their
dogs,
kids
romp and
play
games,
fly
kites
and
people
have
picnics.
Surrounded
by tall
cement
walls
separating
the park
from the
back
side of
houses,
Greer
Park is
easily
accessible
for a
morning,
afternoon
or
sunset
picnic.
There
are
three
picnic
tables
cozily
located
next to
each
other
overlooking
the
lake.
You
could
seat
approximately
15
people
there
and have
a nice
meeting
or
casual
gathering.
There is
no
running
water,
no
restroom
facilities
and no
barbeque
grills.
Parking
is
curbside
parking
adjacent
to the
park
free of
charge.
Conveniently
located
a short
drive
from the
San
Diego
Freeway
(405),
the park
is
located
near
Golden
West
Street
less
than one
mile
from the
freeway.
