sign that signifies McCallen Park and Boys and Girls Clubs
of Huntington Valley, you may also notice a sign that states
parking for McCallen is prohibited in the paved lot where
the sign sits. Parking for McCallen Park is supposed to be
curbside parking outside the club. The Boys and Girls Club
is on the route for many public school buses that bring
children to the private, non-profit facility after the
school day ends. Park-goers should park outside the lot or
drive in the neighborhood surrounding the park and find
other spaces curbside if Delaware Street is at capacity.
McCallen Park is essentially a large playing field. There
are several nets for catching balls so it's clear that the
park is primarily utilized for sports play. It sits in a
residential neighborhood.

The City of
Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker
and steward of the Huntington Beach public park
system. Two departments involved with Huntington
Beach parks are the Community Services
Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is
responsible for maintaining approximately

169 playground apparatus and irrigation
systems.
