VILLAGE VIEW PARK, HUNTINGTON BEACH CALIFORNIA PHOTOS AND INFORMATION

Village View Park next to Village View Elementary School includes a huge play complex with slides, ladders, ropes, balance beam, fields and basketball courts.

Huntington Beach, California 92649

Village View next to Village View Elementary School (714) 846.2801, is one of those great parks where adults and children bond. Families play basketball together on several courts as their dog sits at bay. Meanwhile down the way, a pastor and his son swing and play on the jungle gym equipment, some of the best in all of Huntington Beach.

"I went to this school," said the pastor, whose high school aged son is ranked  fastest runner in his age group in all of Orange County, California. While his older son attends Marina High School, his toddler, Christian, is now learning the "ropes" so to speak, playing on the same playground the elder son and even dad enjoyed as children.

Carrying on traditions and creating new memories are part of the park experience at Village View Park located near Edinger and Bolsa Chica. Keeping kids busy and engaged is easy at Village View, parents say.  Located near Bolsa Chica and Edinger streets in close proximity to Huntington Harbour, Village View Park is a place many have known and loved as they've grown up. It's a park for future generations, too.

Huntington Beach Parks

The City of Huntington Beach (California) is the caretaker and steward of the Huntington Beach public park system. Two departments involved with Huntington Beach parks are the Community Services Department and Park Maintenance. Park Maintenance is responsible for maintaining approximately 70 parks and public facilities, totaling 598 acres, 169 playground apparatus and irrigation systems.

Park Maintenance is also an integral component in special events in the City, closely working with Community Services to set up for events and activities that take place on or near park facilities. Community Services not only handles the rental of the park facilities but also operates programs for the public that include softball leagues, exercise classes, cooking, dancing and other types of interesting and fun things to do. For more information on park maintenance call (714) 536-5480.  For information on park facilities or to make a reservation call Community Services at (714) 536-5486 or the phone numbers provided on the featured parks pages.
