Surfboard Shapers II, The Foam Years
Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum (HBISM)
has featured an incredible list of exhibits during its
20+ years of operations in downtown Huntington Beach. A
first-ever exhibit focused on foam shapers was unveiled
in June 2010 to a record crowd.
The Earl Beasley Endowment Lifetime
Membership Award honoring the recipient and past Lifetime Members, special
presentations by celebrity guests and city dignitaries,
food from local restaurants and Surfin Sundays "free" concert
with The Muertones & Tahiti Shuttle Experiment drew hundreds of people.
Among the attendees of the launch party were famous
shapers such as Brad Holden (son of Bill Holden), Robert
August, and many more. Founder of
the museum, Natalie Kotsch, Ann Beasley, World
Ambassador, Dave Reynolds, Paul Taylor, Gary Sahagen, Linda &
John Miller, and many more were on hand to celebrate the
new exhibition.
