Huntington Beach is all about the fun during the holidays.
Party pleasure means that you don't think twice about the
snow as you throw the shrimp on the BarB and enjoy some
holiday cheer. The traditional snowmen and snow scenes
with boots, gloves and hats are painted in shop windows
along Main Street. But you won't see snow unless you look up
to the San Bernardino Mountains two hours away. You can
drive to those very same mountains and enjoy a cold winter
experience that some find novel. On one such visit to
Big Bear Lake, a stay in cabin cottages included guest books
you could read about those who had stayed there and enjoyed
the rooms.
Most wrote that they had not seen snow before and enjoyed
the delightful experience of being cold and lighting up a
fire in the cozy cabin. For those down at the beach,
however, sitting outside on a warm winter night with the
holiday lights will suffice. In fact, it's quite delightful
as music in the background plays, "Let it snow, let it snow,
let it snow."
